With Excel, as you know, there are the toolbars up on top, that come in handy often. Almost everyone will have the standard and the formatting toolbars taking up two lines across the top.
But what if you are not planning to use them, but are just viewing a spreadsheet. Those two toolbars take up some space. You could right click in the toolbar area and unclick each of those toolbars. You could also unclick the status bar at the bottom. But that is a little bit of work.
Here is a better way, to do it in one step.
Go to the View menu, then select Full Screen.
Now you will see the toolbars and the status bar hidden. You should pick up about 6-7 more rows of viewable area.
There will also be a small dialog box that appears with a button to Close Full Screen. Click on that to return back to your normal view.
Check other tips for advice on changing your view, such as using Zoom.
So when you want the biggest picture, use View, then Full Screen.
