Charting is a powerful feature in Excel. There are many tricks to help you save time or keep charts updated that you may not realize.
One trick is being able to link the chart title to a cell in the worksheet rather than just having a manually typed title.
The exercise and result are in the Chart Title Link file.
Below is the simple chart we will work with from the exercise. We created the chart using the chart wizard. We also could have added a chart title later by right clicking on the chart and selecting Chart Options, then gone to the Title tab.

Unfortunately neither the wizard or the title tab allow you to link to a cell right off the bat when setting up a title. You first have to manually type it in. You could just type in something small, as small as a letter. Just get anything in there so you can use our trick below to complete the link.
Now to build the link:
Go to the chart
Click on the chart title- this will pull up the chart title formula- you can see the words Chart Title in the name box
Click on the formula line
Enter = to start the formula
Go to the cell where you want to link the title to in order to finish the link
Click enter

You now have a dynamically linked chart title. Change the title in the source cell and see how it changes in the chart.
